DVH Tennis - Nieuwsbrief nummer 18 🦩

Aanstaande maandag start de 25e editie van het open jeugdtoernooi, dat met bijna 200 deelnemers weer goed bezet is. De partijen van het jeugdtoernooi worden zoveel als mogelijk overdag gespeeld, waardoor er dan niet of nauwelijks gelegenheid tot vrijspelen zal zijn.

 

Van maandag t/m vrijdag zullen er vanaf 17.00/18.00 uur steeds meer banen beschikbaar komen voor vrijspelen. Het kan zijn dat je misschien nog even moet wachten aangezien de laatste partijen om 16.00 gepland staan.

 

De finales vinden plaats op vrijdag. Vanaf as zaterdag kunt u de schema's online vinden.

 

Wij nodigen u van harte uit om tijdens de toernooiweek te komen kijken, want er zijn veel leuke partijen te zien.

Ladies Day: Fun, Sun & Salmon

What a fantastic day it was last Saturday during Ladies Day! Thirty DVH ladies came out for a fun afternoon that started with apple pie. They played four rounds of 45 minutes—each time with different partners and opponents. Sporty, surprising, and above all, very enjoyable. The sun was shining so brightly that we shortened the third round a bit. In between matches, everyone enjoyed tasty snacks, and during the drinks we served melt-in-your-mouth herring, courtesy of Volendammer Vishandel. TennisDirect provided a beautiful tennis bag, and DA Drogist Westwijk donated a beach game and sunscreen for the raffle.

After the drinks, twenty ladies stayed for Martina’s famous salmon pasta.

DVH’s First Day Tournament – Saturday, August 30!

Briefly mentioned in our previous newsletter, but now we’re officially proud to announce DVH’s very first Day Tournament on Saturday, August 30!

What to expect?

• (Mixed) Doubles only

• Sign up by skill level

• You’ll always play two matches

• Full matches: 2 sets won + super tiebreak as third set

Support your club—find a doubles partner and sign up together.
Let’s make this first edition a success!

Youth Tournament Starts This Monday

This Monday marks the start of the 25th edition of the DVH Youth Open, with nearly 200 participants—a great turnout! Matches will be played mostly during the day, which means there will be little to no availability for free play during daytime hours.

From Monday to Friday, more courts will become available for free play from 17:00/18:00 onward. However, you may still need to wait a bit, as the final matches are scheduled for 16:00.

Finals will take place on Friday. Starting this Saturday, you can view the tournament schedules online:
